How do artists get gallery representation?
Submit a focused portfolio, biography, statement, prices and professional artwork information. We assess quality, coherence, market fit and readiness before offering representation.
Is it hard to get gallery representation?
It is competitive. A recognisable body of work, accurate information, consistent pricing and professional communication improve your chances.
How much does gallery representation cost?
Studio 54 Fine Art charges €50 per month for Artnet, €50 per month for Artsy or €100 per month combined, each for 12 months.
Is Studio 54 Fine Art membership legitimate?
The programme publishes its prices, 12-month term, 60/40 sales split and limitations. Accepted artists receive the current agreement before joining.
Can I sell on Artsy without a gallery?
Artsy works with participating galleries. Accepted Studio 54 Fine Art artists can be presented through the gallery's Artsy programme.
How do I get my art on Artnet?
Apply for gallery representation. Artnet membership may include up to 30 accepted works prepared and administered by Studio 54 Fine Art.
What is the difference between Artsy and Artnet for artists?
They are distinct art-market platforms with different audiences and presentation structures. Artists can choose one or combine both after review.
Does membership guarantee art sales?
No. Membership provides representation, presentation and enquiry support, but demand and sales cannot be guaranteed.
What commission applies when art sells?
The standard completed-sale split is 60% to the artist and 40% to Studio 54 Fine Art.
Do I keep ownership of my artwork?
Yes. You retain ownership until a sale completes and authorise the gallery to present accepted works under the agreement.
How many works can I list?
Artnet membership may include up to 30 accepted works. The initial Artsy selection is agreed during onboarding.
Can emerging artists apply?
Yes. Emerging, mid-career and established artists are considered. Quality and coherence matter more than location or follower count.
Can photographers and sculptors apply?
Yes. We consider painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media, works on paper and limited editions.
Who handles shipping after a sale?
Packing, shipping, insurance and customs are agreed for each transaction. Artists must be able to prepare work safely.
Can I work with another gallery too?
Potentially, if your current agreement permits it and the works do not conflict. Disclose existing representation when applying.
What if a platform rejects an artwork?
We explain the issue and, where appropriate, improve the record or agree a replacement. Individual works remain subject to platform standards.
What should my application include?
Include five to ten strong works with title, year, medium, dimensions and price, plus a biography, statement, location and portfolio links.
