The artist
Practice and perspective
Tiziano Lombardini is an Italian contemporary artist born in Castelleone, in the province of Cremona, in 1959. After training with Gino Antonini, he developed a painting practice that gradually moved from figuration towards abstraction. Observation remains a starting point: forms from the visible world are reorganized into geometric structures, areas of colour and relationships between light and space.
Working in oil and acrylic on canvas, Lombardini balances spatial tension with suggestions of recognizable reality. His official biography describes a longstanding association with Galleria Ponte Rosso in Milan, which also organized a solo exhibition at Bocconi University. The university’s 2004 art catalogue records his oil-on-board work Ciotola e melanzane. His painting Contemplando Santa Maria delle Grazie is documented in the Cultural Heritage Catalogue as held by Museo della Stampa in Soncino.
His official record includes first prizes at Rivarolo in 1997 and the Carlo Dalla Zorza Painting Prize in Milan in 2000. More recent work continues to explore colour and geometric balance. Poise, a compact 2026 oil on canvas offered by Studio 54 Fine Art on Artsy, combines overlapping planes, earthy colours and scattered marks, showing how his interest in structure operates within an intimate format.
